This Saturday is our last Market till Fall and we are very excited about it! The last 30th Street Craft Market was inside 30th St Station. It was a beautiful place to vend and we had so many new customers, many of whom were just visiting Philadelphia. It was a tremendous success for Emily from VIX Emporium who had partnered with UCD for the event. This time we'll be outside on The Porch a new outside urban space that caters to a variety of free outdoor events. The Craft Market is chock full of talented vendors, all with beautiful and unique items. I've curated a treasury of some of my favorites on etsy. Here is VIX Emporium's full vendor listing. Another treat in store on Saturday is The West Philadelphia Orchestra, performing from noon-2pm. They are one of my all time Philly favorites, I'm so excited for them to be the background to some of my day! Hope to see lots of Philly friends and fans on Saturday. Mike has been making delft ships and windmills all week and while I'm out of commission for two handed work I have plenty of summer kids wear ready to go. Looking forward to seeing you all!

What a fine day we had at Clover Market today! E was with her Grand dad, and with my injured finger I wasn't much help at the stand. So sweet old Mike did most of the vending today while I hunted for treasures and chatted it up with the other vendors. Old Blood Designs and Wrong World Ceramics were sharing a booth. They make a great West Philly Team! I saw new art by Lisa Hurwitz. I loved her paintings of little girls and boys wearing animal masks/ hats and the quietly vibrant butterflies. I wish these tea towels weren't a little out of my reach pricewise, but I loved the succulents flowerbox from Nannygoat Antiques. I'm a real sucker for antique petticoats and pantaloons. These are from Mae's Market. And here we are, reunited at home with the spoils of the day. With all my looking I managed to only get two things. A vintage dress for L that I just couldn't pass up and a skirt from Sardine Clothing. I've been looking for a while at her skirts and finally found just the right one.
What a fun day! We're hoping to be back for more Clovers in the fall. Thanks to all who came out and made the day such a success. |
